Because of his great works in peace education, Irfan got both national and international awards. In 2008 British Council gave Irfan International Young Creative Entrepreneur (IYCE) award. Two years later Irfan was awarded UAJY Multiculturalism Award. Two years in row 2011-2012 Irfan was listed in 500 Most Influential Muslim In the World by RISSC Amman Jordan. In 2012 The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy selected Irfan as one of the Young Creative Entreprener of The Year. Ashoka, an Internatioan organization focusing on social inovation, awarded Irfan Ashoka Fellowship.

In 2007 Irfan co-founded PeaceGeneration Indonesia, a social eterprise focusing on teaching peace to youth and children. He trained more than 5000 youth to be agents of peace using creative modules containing 12 basic values of peace. The Agents of Peace are working in 15 provinces in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippine. More rhan 40,000 students and children has been reached by the program.

Irfan has written around 50 volumes of books, songs, and directed 50 educational videos and games. Halo Balita and Ensiklopesi Bocah Muslim, two of books he co-wrote, have reached around 50,000 muslim families and are still in the market for ten years. Some of his books have been translated and adapted to several languages and published in Malaysia, Philippine and Turkey.
